Bungie developing brand new game engine

Back in April game developer Bungie, the mastermind behind the Halo franchise, announced that it had signed a 10 year deal with video game publisher giant, Activision. With this new partnership, Bungie stated that they will be branching away from Halo and creating a brand new multi-platform IP which will be distributed by Activision.

Well recently Bungie have also announced that, now Reach is out of the way, they are starting work on creating a brand new game engine for their upcoming IP.

Bungie’s studio communications manager, Brian Jarrard stated, “Just like we don’t want to develop a game off someone else’s IP, we want to push our own technology in the same way.”

So it sound’s like Bungie’s upcoming title wont be like anything we have ever experienced before thanks to a brand new game engine. Will it use motion control? Will it be in 3D? Only time will tell…
